With effect from 1st July 2016, the operations of Generali Pilipinas Life Assurance Company, Inc. (GPLAC) have been reorganized.

GPLAC has been renamed BDO Life Assurance Company, Inc. (BDO Life)1 while Generali Pilipinas Insurance Company, Inc. (GPIC) has been renamed Generali Life Assurance Philippines Inc. (Generali Philippines)2.

All existing individual life policies written by GPLAC prior to 1st July, 2016 including the BDO Mortgage Redemption Insurance (MRI) Program will continue to be serviced by BDO Life.

All existing group business including Employee Benefits coverage (Life & Health) written by GPLAC prior to 1st July will continue to be serviced by Generali Life Philippines.

There will be no impact on the terms and conditions of all existing policies.

Group Life Insurance

Enroll your employees under our Group Insurance program and provide them with life insurance protection in case of untimely death. Generali pays a lump sum amount to your employee's designated beneficiary/ies regardless of cause.

Enjoy these additional benefits:

Accidental Death and Disability (AD&D) Rider
Provides additional coverage in case of your employee's loss of life, limbs, or sight caused solely by accident occurring within 180 days after the accident.

Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Rider
Gives additional benefits in case of disability caused by bodily injury due to accident or disease which prevents your employee from engaging in any business or occupation for profit or gain for the rest of his life.

How this works:

  • Life Insurance Coverage subject to minimum cover of Php100,000.
  • Coverage amount of each additional benefit is equivalent to the group life insurance amount.
  • Applicable to SMEs with minimum of 5 employees.
  • All regular and actively-at-work employees aged 18 to 64 are eligible to join the plan.

Group Health Insurance

Provide your employees with a comprehensive medical plan for illnesses or disabilities they may suffer from. This benefit may also be extended to their dependents according to a specified benefit schedule.

Enhance your plan with these Riders:

In-Patient (IP) Medical Benefit
Provides benefits for any covered disability, but not to exceed the maximum amounts shown in the Schedule of Benefits for room & board, special hospital services, surgical fee, anesthesiologist’s fee and doctor’s call.

Out-Patient (OP) Medical Benefit
Covers expenses for consultations, laboratory & x-ray charges and prescribed drugs & medicines.

How this works:

  • The Group Health Insurance (GHI) rider must be attached to a Group Life Insurance plan
  • 75% of eligible employees must enroll their dependents
  • Dependent’s coverage should be equal to or less than the employee’s benefit.
